Sombrero Pasta Salad

Taco seasoned ground beef tossed with spiral shaped pasta, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green bell pepper, chopped white or yellow onion, chopped vine-ripened tomato, ripe olives, and Catalina dressing.

Ingredients -
16 ounces Spiral Shaped Pasta, cooked al dente, drained
1 pound Ground Beef
3/4 cup Water
1 envelope Taco Seasoning Mix
2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 large Green Bell Pepper, chopped
1 medium Yellow or White Onion, chopped
1 medium Tomato, chopped
5-1/2 ounces Ripe Olives, drained
1 (16 ounces) bottle Catalina Dressing
 
Preparation:

1. Cook the ground beef over medium heat until done, in a large skillet.

2. Drain the excess fat.

3. Add the taco seasoning and water.

4. Stir to combine.

5. Simmer the mixture for 15 minutes.

6. Transfer the pasta to a large serving bowl.

7. Add the seasoned beef and the rest of the ingredients.

8. Toss well to coat.

9. Cover and place in the fridge for 2 hours.

10. Serve.

Pears

When selecting pears for salad recipes, choose pears that are firm, but not hard. If you must buy unripe pears, put them in a paper bag a few days to ripen.
